I love this quote, I used to have it on the bulletin board in my office when I still worked in corporate America.
I sure felt like I was at the end of all the light I knew and was taking a step into the darkness in May of 2006 when I quit my job at Johnson & Johnson. I left a very secure marketing job to do consulting work from home so that I would have more flexibility to raise my grammar-school age kids.
I was scared to death to do it, but knew that when I took the leap, I’d figure it out. And I did, and it’s been the best thing I could have done for both myself and for my family.
When I was trying to make the decision to quit my job, this quote gave me courage. It’s so freeing to know that you really just have to take that step off the precipice and trust that somehow or other you’ll find your path.
I’m going to print this out and put it back up on my bulletin board in my home office to remind me for my future adventures into the unknown. I hope it speaks to you, too.
Do you have a specific quote that you love, that has guided you in the past? Please share!
That’s a wonderful quote. Thanks for sharing it. Not sure what my favorite one is – guess I need to think about that.
One of my very favorites, I refer back to it whenever I’m struggling with making a big choice or decision. Thanks for stopping by!
This is so inspiring… as I have been experiencing the very same change. Thanks Claudia!
Hi Dianne! Call me anytime you want to talk about the change….you know I’m a big supporter of going out and taking that leap. xo
So very inspiring as I have been experiencing the very same change of status…
Thank you!
