Cure Diva Is A Wonderful Resource For Women Going Through Breast Cancer

curediva annmarie

I’m excited to share information about the Cure Diva site today.  I found the Cure Diva group on Facebook and want to share it with My Left Breast readers because it’s so freaking helpful for anyone going through breast cancer!

When I was going through breast cancer in 2010, I had a lot of trouble finding clothes and bras that I could wear after my mastectomy and reconstruction.  It was hard to find the kind of bras I needed to wear; they had to close in the front, needed to be very soft and stretchy, yet kind of compress my chest to keep everything stationery after the surgeries.  I searched around in all the local stores and had a really tough time finding something that would work.

Cure Diva has lots of really useful and hard to find products for women going through breast cancer including items that would be helpful for any phase of the process: from chemo to surgery and all the way to post mastectomy, and yes, even products to help women suffering from hot flashes from Tamoxifen or Arimidex, or whichever aromatase inhibitor you might be on:

Diva Essentials

  • Just diagnosed must haves
  • Surgery must haves
  • Chemotherapy day must haves
  • Radiation must haves
  • Hot flashes must haves

The site is easy to navigate, with items listed in a very intuitive way (see above lists of Cure Diva Essentials) which makes searching for items to support you as you go through your breast cancer process easy and simple.

They have these great post mastectomy tops with inside pockets for the drains that you’ll have post surgery, which I really wish I’d known about. I was always afraid that those damn drains were going to get stuck, or catch on something and I would have really felt a lot more comfortable with one of these discrete tops to give me peace of mind.  They also carry wigs, scarves, lymphedema sleeves, and lots of other products that I wish I’d known about during my breast cancer process.

In addition to all these really helpful and useful products, what I really love about Cure Diva is that they also offer support and education through their Blogger and Guardian Diva programs. The Guardian Diva program connects women who’ve had breast cancer with women who’ve been recently diagnosed so that they can share their thoughts and support via this incredibly supportive online community. I’m proud to say that I’m a Guardian Diva and love it.

And, to add even more credibility and education to the site, Cure Diva also has a partnership with Breastcancer.org (my favorite breast cancer site) to share their award winning content.

The picture above is of my favorite Cure Diva breast cancer champion, Ann Marie Otis. In addition to her work with Cure Diva, Ann Marie blogs over at Stupid Dumb Breast Cancer and is a passionate advocate for women facing breast cancer. She’s also really brave and honest and has a great sense of humor, plus she’s from New York and I’m from New Jersey so we’re naturally and geographically simpatico! I’ve never met Ann Marie in real life (yet), but we’ve connected online via our blogs and through Cure Diva and I’m honored to share her blog and Cure Diva with my readers.

I didn’t find out about Cure Diva until recently but I sure wish I’d known about them in 2010 during my breast cancer journey.

yes, I love Cure Diva too for all the same reasons, I can’t tell you how happy I am to have all the supplies I need to face mastectomy surgery. The human touch behind the products is also wonderful. Ann Marie Otis is a very precious resource both here and online.

Your blog is great BTW! Thanks for sharing!

Cure Diva is great. They sell my sleepwear line on their site. They are also a pleasure to do business with, which is not always the case with some other resellers! I love them on many levels.
