We interrupt this stream of vacation posts, for a quick discussion about a global phenomenon that I’ve recently become obsessed with.
Lately I’ve been noticing a lot of man buns.
The first one that made an impression on me was Jared Leto’s at the Oscars (or was it the Golden Globe’s). Then I noticed that Leo DiCaprio was sporting one.
Leo’s bun. Too slicked back for my liking.
Then I started to notice man buns in Paris and last weekend I saw a few when I picked up one of my kids from Firefly Music Festival and suddenly, everywhere I turn, I’m seeing man buns.

I think I kind of like them. There are so many types and styles to consider.
Russel Brand’s blue bun sits high atop his head.
The ever popular Ryan Gosling man bun sits low on the back of his head.
Well now, that’s quite a bun. Huge. And high. Not really my cup of tea
Bradley Cooper’s bun is a little messy but well placed.
Bechkam has always rocked the man bun, way before it became a fad. One of my personal faves.
Silliest idea of all. George Clooney sporting Jared Leto’s bun.
Colin Farrell’s odd, half shaved head with a sparse high bun. What do you think? Not workin’ for me.

And finally, the best of all buns on the best of all men – Jon Snow (aka Kit Harington). He may know nothing, but he sure knows how to rock a man bun.
