My Left Breast Site Redesign!

New Website Design announcement

Welcome to the new and improved My Left Breast!

For a long time I’ve wanted to move from my simple site on Blogger to WordPress; spending hours trying to fathom what the heck the tutorials on migration from one platform to another meant, going cross-eyed over words like HTML, code, meta data, widgets and tagging, which all just sound like gobbledy-gook to me.  I tried to do it myself but got so flummoxed and confused that I finally just gave up.

Then, recently I contacted the fabulous Julie Deneen from Fabulous Blogging about managing the process for me and…..voila!

Here we are about 4 weeks later and the site redesign is done; everything has moved from my old Blogger platform to my new, fancy-shmancy WordPress platform and it was seamless and easy-peasy because Julie did it all!  She really is fabulous, just like her website name.

This, by the way, was all occurring in the background during one of my busiest times of the year.  The only reason I could even consider a blog redesign and migration this month is because Julie did it all for me, behind the scenes, ’cause I’ve been crazy busy work-wise for the last few months.

I love the new look and feel of the redesign and WordPress is already proving to be simpler than I had expected, although I still haven’t quite figured out how to insert any images, so am not sure if this post will have a picture to accompany it!

I hope you like the new site.  I’ll be posting again soon, with my thoughts about the pinkification of October Breast Cancer Awareness month, but wanted to share it with you guys as soon as Julie told me it was ready to go live tonight.

What do you think?  I hope you love it as much as I do!

Really nice job. I made the move a few years ago to WordPress. It was a lot of work but now I’m really glad I switched.
